Shane Brox at Nikolaj Kunsthal

Indulge me, if you will, in another total fan-girl moment. I was blown away by this exhibition and I want to be Shane Brox when I grow up! His work was actually a huge inspiration for me when I was working on Things Men Have Said To Me Instead Of Hello, and it was this show that got me thinking about working in three dimensions in the first place.

I’m always fascinated in the tension between the naïve and the sophisticated - there are few people who manage the balance well, in my opinion, and it’s something that I always strive for in my own work. Shane just makes it look so damn effortless. I’m obsessed.
