The Records Office
Like any self-respecting pile of cats, I have led many, many lives. Most I’m happy to surrender to the mists of time, but there a few snippets here and there that I would like to preserve for posterity.
The Records Office is a dusty yet reliable place to rummage through ancient files and trace past versions of me through the ages.

Studio Diaries
2023 - 2025
For the first 2.5 years of being an artist-in-public I kept a running journal of everything I was doing to move my art career forward - this is that journal.
Community Building
2018 - 2023
After burning out from freelance illustration, I fell back on my marketing and digital communications training and ran a business called Eli Trier Communities, where I helped so-called “Quiet Revolutionaries” to meet and gather their people.
A lot of the topics I talked about then are the same as the ones I talk about now, albeit in a different context, so I wanted to include some of my favourite writings and interviews from that time.
My writings
A community project book talking about what it really means to be an ‘artist’
The Sunday Letter | Eli Trier Communities | Issue 017
Interviews
The benefits of building a meaningful community one person at a time rather than amassing large numbers with little significance.
Illustration
2013 - 2018
About a million years ago (or so it seems) I worked as a freelance illustrator. Here are a few of my favourite projects.
This was the blog-turned-book project which launched my illustration career all the way back in 2012!
