My favourite illustration job of all time

The best job I ever got to do as an illustrator was for Gwyneth Marshman’s book The Book Diaries. She had seen my month of books drawings, and asked me to reimagine classic book covers. The absolute dream job for a bibliophile illustrator!

Here are a few of my favourites from this project:

If I had to pick my top three of these covers, they would be Anna Karenina (even though drawing St Basil’s Cathedral took me an entire week!), The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and The Diary of A Young Girl.

I would actually love to do another project like this - I do adore drawing books!
