Working on…

This week has been something of a learning curve as I get used to filming myself doing things again - I haven’t done any YouTube stuff for a while so I’m really rusty (to the point I forgot to charge my camera batteries so had to film most of day one on my phone 🙄). But, my week in the life vlog is in the can and I can’t wait to start editing it next week.

Work has also resumed (albeit slowly) on Things Men Have Said, but the biggest job of the week was the photoshoot for the Flourishing campaign. I managed to film some of the behind the scenes of that, so you’ll be able to watch it when the vlog comes out - we had an absolute hoot filming it!

The secret to joyfulness is the quality of your attention.

My Favourite Things - Maira Kalman

Speaking of paying careful attention, Maira Kalman is the queen of this. I love her illustrations and her relationships with objects.

Watching…

Brain Chatter - Lexy Ho-Tai

This stop-motion short is phenomenal - it’s so weird, and a tiny bit gross, and utterly sublime. The story-telling is amazing - a must watch if you are the owner of a brain. I’m a huge fan of Lexy’s work - and you should definitely check out her website too.

“Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin?” - Obsessed.
