The first time I went to Lars' flat was after I’d accidentally invited him on a date I was on with another guy. I know - shocking behaviour. But we were right by his place so I asked him for a restaurant recommendation, and my autistic brain thought it would be great if he joined us. I mean, who wouldn’t want to hang out with such a cool guy? When Lars invited us both back to his for a beer I said yes, and didn’t really understand why the other guy called it a night. Is this what they mean when they say autistic people have no empathy? Whoops.
