It’s a Pisces moon thing

I'm translating my love for the sea into a summer solstice zine for my patrons (Friends of The Haus) inspired by happy summer memories of messing about on the water. In this artist vlog, I share my zine-making process, beachcombing for art materials, and why water is my favourite form of audhd emotional regulation.

In this video I head to the beach to gather seaweed, shells, and inspiration for my latest Friends of the Haus zine - a love letter to summer memories by the water, made from old sketchbook pages, hand drawn lettering, and a lot of feelings (it's my Pisces moon!).

You'll see the process of making the zine - from lettering the text and scanning in seaweed and shells (my scanner may never recover), to rummaging through my old sketchbooks and assembling the whole thing in Canva.

I talk about why water is where I go to regulate, why I'm drawn to both wild winter beaches and soft summer ones, and how my favourite summer memories turned into this season's zine for my Friends of the Haus community.

If you want a copy of the zine yourself (plus early YouTube access and more), join Friends of the Haus here and sign up for the Culture Vulture tier.
