If you came for a Studio Visit this week, you would see…
Nothing…
No peeking!
I’ve reached the stage with the second phase of the Things Men Have Said To Me Instead Of Hello collection where sharing the process feels like sharing pictures of myself on the toilet - it’s just too private, too personal, and even the IDEA of being perceived at this stage of the process feels excruciating.
It sounds super dramatic, but I’m not kidding - in the past I’ve made the mistake of sharing other work with people during this stage of the process and found that the work then becomes radioactive. I can’t work on it, I can’t even look at it! It then has to be put away for some kind of emotional decontamination process for at least six months, and we don’t have time for that in this instance!
So, no more peeks until we’re through the danger zone! But you can gorge yourself silly on the finished work from this collection, which you can find here.
Wanna hang out in the Studio with me?
I’m fully booked until August, but you can still contact me for an IRL or virtual visit here and we can get you in sometime after that.
Just wanna voyeur from afar? That’s cool too:
Come spend a day in the Haus with me - filming, zine-making, a fabulous outfit, and time with some of my favourite people in the world.
A while back, Jennifer and I spent an afternoon making puppets in my studio. No plan, no tutorial, just a bunch of scrap materials and a great big dollop of FAFO attitude. This is what that looked like.

What does it mean to deliberately put your 45-year-old body into the world when culture has decided women your age should be fading quietly into the background? What's the difference between being looked at and choosing to be seen? What does it mean to be visible?
