Working on…

So, after last week's procrastination confession work has resumed on the second half of Things Men Have Said To Me Instead Of Hello. I think I just needed to say how I was feeling out loud, you know? As soon as I shared it, I found the pressure easing and I was able to pick up the threads again. It does help that I have a meeting with the gallery in two weeks about the January show!! There's nothing like a deadline to get the motivation flowing again.

Thinking about…

All the projects I want to do when the Things Men Have Said… collection is complete! I was at Copenhagen Zine Fest last week and I was so inspired - expect some zines coming your way as soon as I have time to sit down and make them.

I’m also really excited by YouTube again at the moment - I restarted my channel last month after a 6 month hiatus and I am just LOVING making videos and being back in that space. People seem to really be responding to the new format which is very gratifying (and validating) too. It feels like everything is falling into place for me at the moment - finally!

Reading…

Letters to Gwen John by Celia Paul

Written in the form of letters to a long dead artist, this book is all about loneliness, passion, and transformation. Beautiful, sparse, and compelling, it’s the perfect book to snuggle up with on a stormy night.

Watching…

The Witches of Eastwick

Obviously it was Halloween last week so I have to share one of my favourite campy spooky movies with you. This film is amazing and insane and they just don’t make ‘em like this any more. I can’t believe it’s from 1987 (OMG that makes me feel old 🤣).

Listening to…

I was delighted to rediscover this album recently! The first track gives me chills, and this one makes me feel like I could fly. I went through a phase a few years ago where I was obsessed with this album and listened to nothing else for about a month, and I don’t think I’ve listened to it since 🤣. So happy it still hits.
